Here’s the visualizations for the exteriors of a project designed by Materica Studio and arch. Enrico Puggioli of Studio A4+. A country house in Italy, with traditional materials and textures, but with some twists to keep things fresh!
We were asked to further develop a preliminary sketch by arch. Enrico Puggioli, for a villa for three small families. He wanted some rotations in the plans, and we wanted to put a horizontal cantileved part in the front side of the building to protect the big windows from the summer heat. The result was a nice interplay between the different frontal planes.
We used bricks and clay roofing for a traditional, italian feel, but we also studied elevations that could give the project a whole new, contemporary personality. We loved the result.
Archviz – wise, we used as usual IBL techniques, and postproduction with some ’70s looking touches with Photolooks.
